In addition to writing shows for Blue Gate Musicals, Wally directs the shows as well. His creative vision for production is apparent in his ability to design sets, choose costumes, do a bit of choreography and assimilate many elements and talent to make a performance a success. During theatre audition season, Jan-Mar, he travels to regional auditions in Boston, Memphis, St. Louis, Cambridge, Atlanta and other exciting locations working as a casting director looking for the best talent in the country. And then from April – Sept., Wally travels to the various locations where the shows play to direct them thru opening night and returns periodically to make sure things are running smoothly.
